To celebrate the diverse culinary atmosphere of Ocean City, the OC Hotel-Motel Association’s 10th annual Restaurant Week will highlight some hotspots on the beach.

Over 20 restaurants will participate in restaurant week giving diners a variety of different tastes to choose from.

“The inspiration behind restaurant week is to give diners the chance to experience and try new restaurants and to give restaurants more business at the start of the season,” said Executive Director Susan Jones.

In addition to a few new restaurants joining in on the action, the Hotel-Motel association partnered with Southern Wine and Spirits to create a ‘Commemorative Cocktail by Clint,” a new drink to celebrate the 10th anniversary.

“Clint was the longtime bartender and restaurant partner at The Shark on the Harbor ---he recently just became a sales rep with Southern Wine,” Jones said. “It is the “Limon Blossom”- recipe - muddle lemons in a pint glass, 1.5 ounces Bacardi Limon, .5 oz St. Germaine Elderflower, shaken together, rim glass with sugar, then top with soda and a splash of cranberry. We’re excited about that.”

Food from Seacrets in Ocean City will be held at the OC Hotel-Motel Association’s 10th annual Restaurant Week.

The association also teamed up with the Art League of Ocean City for an interactive art experience, "Food for the Soul."

“Artists will select a restaurant and be invited to experience a meal there (of the chef's choosing) and then create a piece of artwork inspired by the food and atmosphere,” Jones said. “Once the artwork is created, it will be included in the Ocean City Center for the Arts May exhibit.”

Restaurant week has a something for all tastes and budgets.

“This is a great way to kick off the season,” Jones said. “We definitely have different customers who are foodies, prefer different menus and prefer a twist on the menu or the more traditional customers looking for a good crab cake. So it’s good that we are able to serve up a wide variety for our diners.”
