"Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" is screening on the lawn of the Buena Vista mansion on Saturday night.

Movie on the Lawn: "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids"

Sure, your kids don't know who Rick Moranis is. That doesn't mean they won't get into the late-80s kid-friendly hit "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids," screening at 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the Buena Vista Mansion lawn (661 S. du Pont Highway, New Castle). The Disney movie follows a group of neighborhood kids who get miniaturized by a scientist dad, played by Moranis. The dangers of being 1/4-inch tall include falling into a bowl of cereal and battling aggressive insects in the backyard, according to the Disney movie. Besides the flick, there will be lawn games, live music, the Professor Looney Photo Booth, and food and drinks from the Plum Pit food truck. Admission is $3. 302-323-4430, http://buenavista.delaware.gov/ or www.facebook.com/BuenaVistaConferenceCenter.
