Abbott's Grill keeps customers happy

Abbott's Grill in Milford recently celebrated its eighth anniversary, and much of the restaurant's success is due to its reputation for fine food.

It has racked up numerous local awards for excellence through the years. However, its bar room — known as Bald Jason's Pub — is also known as a casual place to unwind during happy hour.

Happy hour takes place daily from 3-6 p.m., and patrons can enjoy an extra 60 minutes of goodness on Fridays, when the discounts continue until 7 p.m.

Beverage bargains include one dollar off each draft beer, house wine or rail drink, as well as a 50-cent discount off bottled beers. Seafood fans can enjoy oysters for a dollar each.

One of the reasons for the extended happy hour on Fridays is because the oysters are even cheaper on that day — a mere 50 cents.

Various food specials are featured on different days. Monday is Burger Night ($6); Wednesday is half-price wine night, and will also begin featuring half-price wings beginning March 22; Thursday is Taco Night, with a trio of tacos available for $10.
