A matador squares off with the bull, at Dewey Beach's annual July event.

Whether you're interested in art, water sports, beer or fitness, this weekend is loaded with fun events around the Delmarva region.

Here are five fun ways to spend time this weekend.

The running of the bull

The Bull is finally legal. And to celebrate, The Starboard in Dewey Beach is moving up the yearly celebration a week earlier. The 21st annual Running of the Bull Saturday will have The Starboard in Dewey Beach packed all day. Patrons don their best Pamplona, Spain-inspired clothing. At 2 p.m., the bull riles up the crowd and “chases” them to the beach. Proceeds benefit the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Department.

Paddle Second Chance

Paddle Second Chance’s 2017 event will feature an Elite 5.0, Open 2.5 mile and Sprint 1.0 mile long SUP and Kayak race course.

A day of paddle boarding and kayaking is on tap Saturday along the Indian River Bay at Holts Landing State Park. The races, which come with cash prizes, are open to all skill levels and range in distance from one mile to the elite five mile race. The proceeds benefit Operation Second Chance, a group committing to serving wounded, ill and injured combat veterans.
