Jake Owen performs at the Big Barrel Country Music Festival in Dover in 2015. He returns to Delaware July 20 for a concert in Dewey Beach.

For fans of country star Jake Owen, Friday will be like Christmas.

Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday for Owen’s just-announced concert at the 1,125-person Bottle & Cork (1807 Del. 1), slated for Thursday, July 20, at 9 p.m.

Tickets for the show, which cost $50, will be available at bottleandcorkdewey.com and are expected to sell out almost immediately.

The show is for those 21 and older only.

In recent years, Owen’s Delaware shows have been super-sized affairs, headlining the Delaware State Fair in Harrington and performing at the now-defunct Big Barrel Country Music Festival in Dover.

Owen is still touring behind last summer’s “American Love,” his fifth studio album. It features the lead single, “American Country Love Song,” which landed at No. 1 on the U.S. country charts last year.

Owen’s surprise Delaware show was squeezed onto his already-announced summer tour and revealed to the public earlier this week. The Dewey concert will come the night before he headlines Power Plant Live in Baltimore.
