The Senior League and Big League Softball World Series got underway on Sunday, July 31 in Roxana as teams from all over the world came to play for their respective titles.

Summer is winding down, sadly, as we ease into the last weekend of July this weekend. That was fast.

But with plenty of fun in the sun remaining for the summer of 2017, Delmarva will again be full of fun and activities for kids and adults alike.

This weekend features music, sports, beach activities and more.

Here are five fun things to do this weekend on Delmarva.

Thousands of visitors will be treated to authentic Greek culture, featuring food, art, music and more.

The festival runs Friday-Monday and is open noon-11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and open until 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday.

A headliner in Dewey Beach

Bottle & Cork located at 1807 Highway 1, Dewey Beach, DE. Wednesday, June 14, 2017.

Bottle and Cork in Dewey Beach tends to get some really well-known bands to come to the popular rock and roll bar.

And that is definitely the case Sunday night, when Los Angeles-based Fitz and The Tantrums hits the stage.

The self-described "soul-influenced indie pop" band is probably known most for its song "HandClap."

Doors open at 9 p.m. and tickets – at a reasonable $45 – are still available. To purchase tickets, visit bottleandcorkdewey.com.

Lifeguard Olympics

Ocean City Beach Patrol Capt. Butch Arbin addresses swimmers in preparation for 2016's Capt. Robert S. Craig Boardwalk Swim.

Head to the beach at N. Division Street in Ocean City Saturday to watch the Ocean City Beach Patrol lifeguards compete against one another in events and demonstrate their athletic skill.

The event begins at 6:30 p.m. and for more information call 410-289-7556.

Sunday Jamz

This Sunday and every Sunday thru August 27, the Cape May-Lewes Ferry is providing guests with a relaxing Sunday getaway with live music on the water.

Adults pay $19, $1 more than the normal price, for a roundtrip ticket, seniors or military pay $15, children 6-13 are $9 and children under the age of six are free.

All guests, with the purchase of a ticket, receive a wristband that grants them $1 off of every soda or adult beverage on board.

Softball World Series
