The beaches in Ocean City, Md. are full of swimmers and vacationers during the holiday week on July 3, 2017.

It's August. Yes, already. Where has the summer gone?

As usual, the summer months are flying by as we march toward another school year (and football season). But the arrival of August means the arrival of Delmarva's busiest month, as travelers get in their final days of vacationing.

That being said, there are still plenty of ways to spend your weekends around the beach towns.

From a car show to a children's day of fun on the bay in Ocean City, here are five fun ways to spend this weekend on Delmarva.

A day on the bay

This Sunday from noon to 4 p.m., the Ocean City Museum Society is hosting its seventh annual Children's Day on the Bay Festival.

The free event, located at Sunset Park in Ocean City, is a family-friendly event filled with music, games, live animals, activities and more.
