Bryen O'Boyle and his former bandmates from Mr. Greengenes will reunite to play a sold-out show at the Bottle & Cork in Dewey Beach on Friday, Aug. 4.

This time of year, the summer breeze includes music in the air — and lots of different styles, at that.

Former regional cover band Mr. Greengenes will play its second annual reunion at the Bottle & Cork on Friday, Aug. 4. The show, which doubles as the Cork's 81st anniversary party, sold out the same day tickets went on sale last spring.

Sublime tribute act Badfish, which wowed the Cork earlier this summer, will return for an encore performance on Wednesday, Aug. 9, following a 9 p.m. opening set by local reggae favorite Spokey Speakey ($15).

The Cork has announced that a Sunday, Aug. 27, appearance by alt-country group The Brothers Osborne has also sold out in advance.

In Selbyville, the Freeman Stage at Bayside has more concerts on tap, all of which begin at 7 p.m.

On Friday, Aug. 4, Freeman will present a tribute event with a hefty moniker — 50th Anniversary Summer of Love: Songs From the Woodstock Generation ($25). Tuesday, Aug. 8, will see a performance by country chanteuse Mary Chapin Carpenter ($35 to $55).

Mary Chapin Carpenter will mix folk, country and pop at the Freeman Stage at Bayside on Tuesday, Aug. 8.

Also on Tuesday, Aug. 8, the Seacrets nightclub complex will present the return of reggae vocalist Collie Buddz at 9 p.m.

Seacrets has another reggae show set for later this month, and its a doozie. The Nice Dreams Summer Tour 2017 will feature Pepper, Tribal Seeds and Fortunate Youth  at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 20 ($45).

The Cowboy Coast Saloon in Ocean City continues its series of country music events with an appearance by Craig Morgan at 9 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 10 ($10). Rocker-turned-country artist Aaron Lewis from the band Staind will return Thursday, Aug. 24 (also $10).

Reggae vocalist Collie Buddz will return to Seacrets in Ocean City on Tuesday, Aug. 8. Tickets are $15.

In downtown Rehoboth Beach, the Dogfish Head brewpub has a triple-shot of national indie-rock acts playing free shows during the weekend (all of which start at 10 p.m.).

Ohio-based Angela Perley & the Howlin' Moons play Friday, Aug. 4; Nashville's Maradeen performs Saturday, Aug. 5; and Florida's Surfer Blood will do the same Sunday, Aug. 6.

Looking ahead to later in the month, Dogfish will have an impressive double bill featuring Los Straitjackets and Marshall Crenshaw (who will jam together throughout the evening) on Friday, Aug. 25.
