Christmas parade rolls into Salisbury on Dec. 3

Christmas spirit will kick into high gear Sunday, Dec. 3, with the 71st Salisbury Jaycees Christmas Parade.

The parade will begin at 2 p.m., with participants lining up in the old mall parking lot at 1 p.m. The parade begins at the intersection of Civic Avenue and Mount Hermon Road, with the judges stand at East Main Street at the fountain in the Salisbury City Park and the parade ending at East Main and Ward streets.

Winners will be crowned in the following categories: Best Marching Band, Best Commercial Entry, Best Non-Commercial Float, Best Youth Entry, Best Scout Troop, Best Fire Department, Best Motorized Unit, Best Animal Unit and Best Marching Unit
