Here's what happens when you meld wine, coffee and ice cream

What's the best wine to pair with ice cream? 

Most people never ask that question, but the Liquid Alchemy meadery owners aren't most people. 

Coffee is a more typical flavor to pair with ice cream, but as it happens, WilmingtonLiquid Alchemy has a Ground & Tapped mead made with coffee beans. 

One of the owners, Jeff Cheskin, said they "wanted to see how it tasted if we took a wine instead of just coffee beans or coffee extract." 

The verdict? 

"This is one of the best frozen-type cold concoctions I think I've ever had."
