The 28th annual Cruisin’ Ocean City will roll back into the resort from Thursday, May 17, through Sunday, May 20.

The event has been drawing car lovers for nearly three decades, with more than 3,000 cars hitting the highways to Ocean City annually. For vintage car owner Macey Holyak, this is one car event she looks forward to year after year.

Cruisin' Ocean City will roll back into the resort from May 17-20.

“Ever since I moved back to Maryland, I’ve been a part of Cruisin’,” said Holyak. “As soon as I found it I fell in love, and just kept going back ever since.”

Holyak has attended Cruisin’ Ocean City for nearly eight years. Initially coming to the event as a spectator and car lover, she has grown into a permanent member of the community.

Holyak is now recognized around Cruisin’ for “Patsy,” her pink 1957 Plymouth Savoy and as 2015 and 2016 Miss OC Cruisin’ Pinup.

“I like showing off Patsy and getting to catch up with the other car owners,” said Holyak. “We usually get to see each other once a year at every event, and we’ve all become friends.”

The four-day car show and cruising event will take place at the Ocean City Inlet and the Roland E. Powell Convention Center. Car shows, vendors and auctions will be at both locations throughout the weekend.

Macey Holyak and her pink ride, "Patsy," have become a key fixture of the Cruisin' Ocean City community.

Come watch the Boardwalk parades and check out classic cars, hot rods and unique custom automobiles. The parades will begin at 8 a.m. each day Thursday through Saturday, with cars riding from North Division Street down to the Inlet.

With car shows, contests, and car auctions going on throughout the weekend, you’re sure to stay busy. Visitors can check out the collector car auction held on Thursday, May 17, or stop by the pin-up contest on Friday, May 18.

Sunday will cap off the event with the Grand Finale Awards, with more than 500 trophies, plaques and awards being presented to participants.

Tickets can be purchased at the Inlet or the convention center
