Delaware State Fair: Saturday's weather, rides and shows

Saturday is your last day to check out the Delaware State Fair, and it looks like the weather is going to cooperate.

Saturday will be mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny. The high is expected to be near 86. 

DELAWARE STATE FAIR:Fried tacos, fried cheeseburger and gator lead food fun

The fair gates open at 8 a.m. and rides open at 1 p.m.

The Roost Beer & Wine Garden has returned to the grounds, this time with live music (and orange crushes, in case you were wondering).

Thrill-seekers heading to the Wade Shows Midway will find about 50 rides including faves like the Sizzler, Tea Cups, Tilt-A-Whirl, and the iconic Ferris wheel.

ADMISSION

$9-$9.50* for ages 13 and older

$4-$4.50* for ages 6 to 12

Free for children 5 and younger (go to the Express Lane gate for free pass)

Free parking; VIP parking passes for $21 per day

Groups: $2 off per ticket for 20 or more

CARNIVAL/RIDES

Wristbands are good for one day. 

Unlimited ride wristbands: $25-$26* weekday, or $30-$31* anytime 

Single-ride ticket: $1.25 (each ride takes 2-6 tickets)

CONCERT INFO

Gate admission is not included in tickets to shows in the M&T Bank Grandstand.

All shows (including rodeo and demolition derby) in the M&T Bank Grandstand are rain or shine, and umbrellas are not allowed. The grandstand and clubhouse seating areas are the only ones that are covered.

Severe weather could cause a delay or cancellation, which would be announced on  www.delawarestatefair.com.  

SATURDAY, JULY 28

Hours: 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Rides open: 1 p.m.

Grandstand entertainment: Demolition Derby at 7 p.m. $17-$19.
