30 hours in a coffin? Six Flags Great Adventure joins coffin challenge

Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson is joining the Coffin Challenge.

Have the guts to spend 30 hours in a 2-foot-by-7-foot coffin?

2018 Six Flags Great Adventure Fright Fest in Jackson, NJ on September 30, 2018. Fright Fest runs Friday, Saturdays and Sundays  until Halloween.

You could win $300 cash, a pair of 2019 Gold season passes, two 2019 dining passes, two Fright Fest haunted house passes — and the coffin (hand-crafted and slightly used).

Six people will be randomly selected to spend 30 hours in a coffin, from 1 p.m. Oct. 28 to 7 p.m. on Oct. 29, the theme park announced on its Facebook page on Monday.

Think you can do it?

Coffin-dwellers must stay in the coffin, aside from a six-minute bathroom break per hour. Anyone who steps outside of the coffin for any other reason will be disqualified. Meals must be eaten in the coffin.

Participants must be 18 years or older with a valid photo ID, cannot have any medical conditions that would make spending 30 hours in a coffin a risk to their health, must sign a waiver at check-in and must provide their own pillow and sleeping bag or blanket.

If more than one person lasts the entire 30 hours, there will be a drawing for the $300 prize.

All remaining participants will receive a Gold season pass and two Fright Fest haunted house passes.

Submissions must be received before midnight on Oct. 14. Coffin dwellers will be chosen on Oct. 16.
