Where to visit Santa Claus in Delaware, from Christiana Mall to Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk

Santa Claus has already been sighted in the area.

He set up one of his home-away-from-homes in Christiana Mall last weekend and he's been spotted there since. He'll be showing up in other parts of the state this weekend, and then in even more areas after Thanksgiving.

Don't think too much about how he can be seemingly everywhere at once and just enjoy the season. 

Here's where and when you, your kids and pets can visit Santa:

CHRISTIANA MALL 

Santa is there for pictures with kids, pets and grownups alike. Check the online schedule to make an appointment, or to see what special days are set, like ugly sweater day and grandparents' day.

WHERE: Near the playground, outside of the Target entrance to the mall

WHEN: Through Dec. 24; off Thanksgiving 

HOURS:

Mondays-Saturdays: 10 a.m.-9 p.m.

Sundays: 11 a.m.-6 p.m.

PET HOURS:

Mondays: 5-8 p.m. (through Dec. 17)

CONCORD MALL

Santa arrives at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, and will be in residence until Christmas Eve.

WHERE: In the center of the mall, near Macy's

WHEN: Saturday, Nov. 17-Dec. 24; off Thanksgiving

HOURS:

Mondays-Saturdays: 10 a.m.-9 p.m. (off from 1-2, and 5-6)

Sundays: 11 a.m.-6 p.m. (off from 2-3)

PET HOURS*: 

Sundays: 6:30-8 p.m.

*Dogs must be on a leash, cats in a carrier. Sundays through Dec. 16.

DOVER MALL

Santa's set-up in Dover will be ready for visitors Friday, Nov. 16, and will be up through Christmas Eve.

The mall also has a Caring Santa day in which they adjust the environment to support "the sensory, physical and other developmental needs of children of all abilities." That event is from 8 to 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 2. 

Visitors can reserve a fast pass online to skip the line at Santa's, and to reserve a spot for the Caring Santa event.

WHEN: Friday, Nov. 16, through Dec. 24; off Thanksgiving 

HOURS*: 

Friday, Nov. 16: 11 a.m.-8 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 17: 10 a.m.-8 p.m.

Sunday, Nov. 18: Noon-6 p.m.

SANTA'S HOUSE ON THE REHOBOTH BEACH BOARDWALK

Santa's house has been delivered and placed on the boardwalk. Now we just have to wait for the man in red to arrive.

He gets into town in time for the annual tree lighting on Friday, Nov. 23, which brings thousands to Rehoboth Beach.

WHERE: On the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk, near the Bandstand

HOURS:

Friday, Nov. 23: 4-7 p.m.

Saturdays, Nov. 24 and Dec. 15: 1-3 p.m.

Sundays, Dec. 2, 9 and 16: 1-3 p.m.

SANTA CLAUS HOUSE IN MILFORD 

Santa will arrive in Milford at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, coming in on a fire truck and escorted by the police.

Children ages 12 and younger who visit Santa Claus will get a free photo with Santa and sweet treats.

WHERE: Santa Claus House is on Walnut Street at the Riverwalk, Milford 

WHEN: Weekends from Saturday, Nov. 24, through Sunday, Dec. 23

HOURS: 

Fridays: 5-8 p.m. through Dec. 21
