Dogfish Head lands on list of top 50 craft breweries in the nation

America's oldest brewery can add another accolade to its list: Yuengling Brewing was named the No. 1 craft brewery in the nation, according to a report from the Brewers Association

Dogfish Head Brewery made the cut, coming in at No. 13.

The annual report, released March 12, highlights the top U.S. breweries based on the volume of beer sales and the top 50 craft brewing companies.

Two Pennsylvania breweries landed on the top 50, with Yuengling landing top honors and Hershey-based Troëgs Brewing Co. coming in at No. 27. 

Also in the top 50 was Frederick, Maryland's Flying Dog Brewery.

Anheuser-Busch was named the top overall brewery ahead of MillerCoors, Constellation, Heineken, and Pabst Brewing Co., and Yuengling.

Forty of the top 50 overall brewing companies were independent craft breweries.
