Delaware to Trump's EPA: Stop changes to Clean Power Plan

The majority of voices at a public hearing on the possible replacement of an Obama-era pollution control plan were clear: Delawareans want the Trump administration to take climate change seriously.

A second hearing on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's possible changes to the Clean Power Plan brought out a smaller crowd than the first in January, but the sentiments mostly followed the same lines.

"We need our nation stepping up," DNREC secretary Shawn Garvin said after the public hearing Thursday in Wilmington. "We hope we get the national leadership that citizens of our country deserve and apply that to world leadership."
