Red White and BOOM, Salisbury’s free community fireworks display presented by Toyota, returns to Wicomico County Stadium on Tuesday, July 4.

Members of the Salisbury community gathered at James M Bennett High and Middle Schools to watch fireworks as part of the Red, White and Boom celebration in 2014.

The stadium is right across from the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center.

"We have a great show lined up, with fireworks going as high as 600 feet up in the air," said organizer Mike Dunn. "From Wicomico County Stadium, the fireworks will be really close, and if you're looking to get the full experience of what fireworks looks and feels like, bring a lawn chair and a blanket and come join us on the field."

Gates open at 6:30 p.m., and fireworks will go off at 9:15 p.m. Bring blankets and lawn chairs. Attendees can also enjoy music, food, bounce houses and Americana.

"As usual, this is a community-wide event. This couldn't happen without the help of the city of Salisbury, Wicomico County the Wicomico County Public Schools and of course the generosity of the entire community," Dunn said.

The rain date for the event is July 5.

Free parking is available at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center, which is across the street from Wicomico County Stadium, and in the Wicomico High School parking lots.

"The whole reason for creating Red White & Boom was to return fireworks to the city of Salisbury, and to create a family atmosphere where the community can gather and celebrate together," Dunn said.
