Craft beer lovers can celebrate FeBREWary this year with their favorite local breweries.

Hundreds of people came to Ocean City in 2016 to celebrate Love on Tap as part as FeBREWary's Craft Beer Lovers Month.

Shore Craft Brewing and Seacret’s have joined forces once again to celebrate Maryland’s Craft Beer Lovers Month with an event that highlights craft beer made right here on the Eastern Shore. At the Love on Tap Shore Craft Beer Festival, get a taste of what local brewers have to offer with tastings of unique brews alongside live entertainment and bay views.

Over a dozen local breweries will be featured, alongside longstanding favorites like Evolution Brewing, Fordham & Dominion and Dogfish Head. The Ocean City event wraps up Maryland’s month-long craft beer celebration with a focus on Eastern Shore’s craft beer culture.

With over 20 craft breweries in the Delmarva area, many are proving to be a driving force in Maryland’s craft beer scene. In the 2017 Maryland Craft Beer Competition, Eastern Shore brewers took over the event with Evolution Brewing winning the Comptroller’s Cup and Eastern Shore Brewing taking second place.

Ann McGinnis-Hillyer, owner of Shore Craft Beer, sees Delmarva as an untapped destination in the craft beer scene.

“I really believe that the reason we should be a Top 10 craft beer destination is because we have world class beer and we have world class beauty,” said Hillyer.

Seeing that the craft beer movement wasn’t going to die down, Hillyer started the business to help promote local craft beer.

“It’s a really big movement, and it really enhances our live,” said Hillyer. “This kind of taste, and the ability to have something hand crafted, it’s very cool.”

At the Love on Tap event, craft beer enthusiasts can enjoy brews made especially with FeBREWary in mind, including a chocolate cherry stout from 3rd Wave Brewing Company and Dogfish Head’s Romantic Chemistry IPA.

With unlimited tastings on over 30 different brews, attendees will also receive a complimentary Love on Tap glass to use and take home.

“When you’re there you can really get a taste of what the shore has to offer,” said Hillyer.
