The Delaware Distilling Co., located on Route 1 at Midway, offers
happy hour drink specials daily from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Discounts on bar
food are offered from 4 to 6:30 p.m.

The Delaware Distilling Company, located on Route 1 at Midway, is known for its production capabilities when it comes to alcohol. It shouldn't come as a surprise that its daily happy hour, which starts when the business opens at 4 p.m. each day, highlights its homespun spirits. However, it should be pointed out that various food specials are also available — and the happy hour menu now includes a larger selection of items to choose from.

The appetizer specials run until 6:30 p.m. The $6 munchies include white cheddar nachos, fiery chicken fingers, French onion soup, three-meat chili, spring rolls and jalapeño chicken skins. A $7 selection consists of Asian barbeque pork shanks, mussels, sweet thai wings and Buffalo fried oysters. For $8, check out the crab cheddar fries or a half-pound of steamed shrimp. Small plates for $10 include snow crab clusters, a half-rack of ribs, shrimp and crab marinara, shrimp etoufee and jalapeño chicken alfredo.

The happy hour price breaks on drinks continue for an extra hour each day (7:30 p.m.) Yuengling and Miller Light drafts are $3, while $4 craft drafts include offerings from 16 Mile, Fordham, Evolution and others. Rail drinks for $4 are made with whiskey, tequila, scotch and the DDC's own vodka, gin and rum. A host of domestic bottles of beer are available for $4.

House wines are available for $5. House-infused shots are $4, although premium house liquors cost $6. For further information, visit www.delawaredistillingcompany.com.
