El Azteca Mexican Restaurant is located on Del. 1's "Forgotten Mile"
north of Dewey Beach. All of the eatery's signature frozen margaritas
cost $4.99 during happy hour, which runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
daily.

A recent addition to the beach restaurant scene has proven to be a big hit — which is no small task considering the amount of competition that is around these days.

The El Azteca Mexican Restaurant quietly opened its doors at the end of last summer on Del. 1's "Forgotten Mile" north of Dewey Beach (technically within Rehoboth Beach's city limits). It has been consistently busy through the winter, and locals are fond of its lengthy happy hour.

The drink specials are available daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. All of El Azteca's signature frozen margaritas are $4.99, tall drafts are $3, pint-glass drafts are $2.50 and Hornitos shots are $2.50.

Food is not discounted, but the large and impressive menu will indeed make patrons happy.

Recent social media photo posts previewing upcoming seafood additions to the menu have teased a lobster entree — as well as a combination featuring oysters, grilled shrimp and octopus ceviche.
