The Beach Boys will perform a pair of concerts at the Ocean City Performing Arts Center at 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., Aug. 23. Tickets are priced at $75, $69 and $49.

Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame act The Beach Boys has visited Delmarva on many occasions — and it was announced this week that the group will return this summer.

The Beach Boys has previously played different venues throughout the area, including large, outdoor concerts in Milton, Selbyville and Ocean City. The band will return to OC on Aug. 23 to perform two shows in one day at 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the Ocean City Performing Arts Center.

An online ticket presale was set to launch at 10 a.m. Thursday (using the code BeachVIP) at www.ticketmaster.com. Tickets will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17 at the center's box office at 40th Street and Coastal Highway (in the Roland E. Powell Convention Center complex), and will also be available online or by calling Ticketmaster at 800-551-SEAT. Tickets are priced at $75, $69 and $49.

The band is led by vocalist Mike Love and longtime guitar cohort Bruce Johnston with a bevy of accompanying musicians, sometimes including guest drummer and television actor John Stamos. (A 50th anniversary reunion tour of larger venues in major cities in 2012 included original members Brian Wilson and Al Jardine, who now tour together as part of Wilson's solo act.)

The group's legendary, harmony-laden hits include "California Girls," "Good Vibrations," "Surfin' U.S.A." and many others.
