Dewey Beach-based cover band Love Seed Mama Jump will help celebrate its 25th year with a concert in Dover this weekend.

Think of it as a family affair.

Rehoboth Beach-based cover band Love Seed Mama Jump is helping kick off its 25th summer by playing a venue they have never rocked before: Dover’s Schwartz Center for the Arts (226 S. State St., Dover).

The venue has been run by executive director Sydney Arzt, the former owner of the old Sydney’s Blues & Jazz Restaurant, since 2014. And she probably didn’t have to twist arms to get Love Seed to play the 550-seat theater. After all, lead singer Rick Arzt is her son.

Rick and the rest of the guys will be importing a feel-good beach vibe to Dover for one night only -- Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets ($14-$20) for the summer preview are on sale at schwartzcenter.com.

Love Seed’s official 25th birthday show is slated for Saturday July 30 at their longtime home, the outdoor deck at The Rusty Rudder (113 Dickinson St., Dewey Beach).
