Must-have apps for visiting Ocean City and Delaware beaches

Parkmobile signs, as seen in Bethany Beach, will pop in Dewey Beach in time for the tourist season.

Keeping track of how you're getting to the beach, where to park and what you want to do when you get there can be overwhelming.

Here are a few apps that can help make a trip to Delmarva just a little simpler:

Beach Bites

This delivery service lets users soaking up some sun in Ocean City order food without ever getting up from their beach towel. Using its app, you can order food from Grotto Pizza, BJ's On The Water, Lombardi's, Longboard Cafe, Primo Hoagies and Rare & Rye and have it delivered to you right at the beach.

TransLoc Rider

This app allows beachgoers to track Ocean City's Beach Bus, which runs up and down Coastal Highway, in real time. Ride-All-Day passes can be purchased for $3, and in the summer, the bus runs from May 24 through Sept. 23 every 10 minutes between 6 a.m. and 3 a.m. and every 20 minutes between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m.

Residents and visitors can ride the bus in Ocean City all day for $3.

Parkmobile

Through Parkmobile, Ocean City, Lewes and Rehoboth Beach let drivers pay for parking from their cell phones. Not only does the app make parking payments easily accessible, but it also sends text reminders to warn users when their parking is set to expire.
