Patrons can select four five ounce beer tastings to build flights at the Dewey Beer Co.

Beer, barbecue and music — most fathers can get behind that.

This Father's Day, they'll have the chance to in Ocean City.

The State Association of Liquor License Establishments is hosting its first Father's Day beer festival at Sunset Park, the promenade area on South Division Street in downtown Ocean City.

SALLE president Channel Chaplin said the organization expects more than 300 guests Sunday.

Tickets are $35 online or $45 at the door. The event is for age 21 and older, although underage designated drivers will be allowed on premises. The festival kicks off at 1 p.m. and runs until 5 p.m.

Tickets include catered barbecue food and beer samples from Delmarva favorites like Burley Oak, Evolution, 3rd Wave and more.

There will be live DJ music entertainment as well.

Portions of proceeds Sunday go to the Prostate Cancer Foundation.

"We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to promote responsible sale of alcohol and educate the community to prevent binge drinking and alcohol access to minors," Chaplin said of SALLE. "We do so by creating safe environments and enjoyable events while supporting community causes."
