nightclub's Sunday, Dec. 31 New Year's Eve bash, which features
several DJs.

It’s time to say bon voyage to 2017 and usher in 2018 — and parties of all sizes are set for nightspots throughout the area on Dec. 31.

And since New Year’s Eve falls on a Sunday this year, many businesses are also planning other events throughout the weekend to accommodate revelers.

Fager’s Island in Ocean City will present its fourth annual Winter Warmer from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30 ($49). The seasonal craft beer and food event will include Baltimore funk-rock act Speakers of the House, which features members of The Almighty Senators and The Junkyard Saints.

On Sunday, New Year’s Eve at Fager’s will include music by What’s Next, Everett Spells and DJ Hook ($40). There are will also be various dinner packages throughout the evening with different prices; reservations are required.

Elsewhere in Ocean City, Seacrets is not selling advance tickets for its Sunday celebration. The cover charge will be $20 at 4 p.m.; $30 at 6 p.m.; and then $40 for the rest of the evening beginning at 8 p.m. (You will be allowed to leave and come back, but you’ll have to wait in line with the newcomers when you return.) There are also several dinner packages available by reservation, although the 7 p.m. seating is sold out. Entertainers will include Full Circle, Garden State Radio, The Benderz, Nine Mile Roots and Rew Smith.

Seacrets will continue to hop and bop on New Year’s Day. Sunday will mark its first Lunasea Full Moon Glow Party of 2018. Rew Smith will perform at 5 p.m., followed by DJ Bobby-O at 9 p.m. and admission is free.

Baltimore funk-rock act Speakers of the House will perform at Fager's
Island in Ocean City from noon to 4 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 30 as part of
the annual Winter Warmer event. Tickets are $49.

In Dewey Beach, the Rusty Rudder is charging $110 for a triple bill featuring Love Seed Mama Jump, the JJ Rupp Band and Kicking Sunrise (with DJs between bands). The Rudder will close up shop again for the first few weeks of January before presenting a concert by country singer Sundance Head from NBC’s The Voice on Sat., Jan. 27 ($15).

Also in Dewey, tickets are sold out for The Starboard’s annual New Year’s Eve bash. However, the bar will be open for the weekend — including music from Laura Lea & Tripp Fabulous at 10 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30.

In Rehoboth Beach, the Dogfish Head brewpub will present a free concert by Southern California touring act The Brevet at 10 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30. The group’s high-energy style of Americana music has drawn comparisons to The Lumineers and Mumford & Sons. Admission is also free for Dogfish’s New Year’s Eve bash with Lower Case Blues.

Back in Ocean City, Pickles Pub will be rocking all weekend. The Joey Harkum Band will return Saturday, Dec. 30, following a 9:30 p.m. opening set by Nate Clendenen. On Sunday, the new year will ring in with a freebie featuring indie-rock quartet Bond & Bentley.
