The Red Barn owners Tom and Robyn Wilhoit, and carpenter Eric Moyer.

Those in need of a funky lamp, an antique set of China or a statement piece of furniture can add a new venue to their search.

Located on Clayton Street in Dagsboro, The Red Barn, offers 6,000 square feet, chock-full, of resale treasures.

"We have a little bit of everything," said Robyn Wilhoit, who co-owns the shop with her husband Tom.

The couple purchased The Red Barn last November after outgrowing their first resale store, Three Good Things, on Route 24 in Oak Orchard.

"We decided to keep the name," she said, noting that although The Red Barn had been closed for the last few years, it has been a well-known resale destination for decades.

Since taking over, the couple has made necessary repairs and upgrades to the old building, including new lighting and new flooring.

The space is rented out to nearly 30 vendors, who decorate their individual booths, pay rent and receive 12 percent commission, she said. The Red Barn has a few vendor spaces still available.

In addition to what they offer in the store — everything from antique jewelry to handmade vases to rustic furniture to whimsical trinkets — the Wilhoits offer a house clean out service, where they will resale the good stuff and get rid of the junk.

"We will take care of it all," she said. "Too often, companies will only take the valuable stuff. But we will clean everything out for you."

The Red Barn also offers 50-50 consignment on larger furniture items, pickup and delivery, as well as custom made furniture for customers. Since opening, they've made unique wine racks, headboards, chandeliers, end tables and more.

So far, business has been steady, but Wilhoit is hoping word of mouth will bring more shoppers through the door.

"We're working like it depends on us and we're praying like it depends on God," she said, smiling as she recited the couple's new motto. "Moving to such a big space was a risk but we have faith."
