WHO: Skyler Bouchard, 24, of Greenville and New York City, food blogger, video host and entrepreneur. She’s a Food Network host and the founder of Dining with Skyler and @diningwithskyler. She will judge tailgate meals at the 40th Winterthur Point-to-Point on May 6.

WHY: She was nominated by Jill Abbott, Winterthur race director, who says: “Skyler’s style is fun, colorful and on point for our ruby anniversary.”

HER STYLE: Classic with a bold edge. “It’s all about statement pieces.”

WHERE SHE SHOPS: “I love to go to different thrift stores and vintage shops when I’m back in New York. Some of my best stuff comes from stores like that! I also love going to Marshalls because you can find some great items for good prices. Outside the department store realm, I love Francesca’s and The Pink Turtle. I have an eclectic taste and I love statement pieces, so there isn’t really just one go-to store for me.”

HOW SHE SHOPS: “I’m one of those shoppers who needs to block off several hours to get the job done. I love department stores and vintage shops because I really get to hunt for the best stuff. I’m also a huge fan of a good deal.”

FASHION ICON: “I love Blake Lively’s style. I’ve never had one fashion icon because my whole style goal is never to look like anyone else, but I get a lot of my inspiration from Instagram accounts and street style in New York.”

MOST RECENT PURCHASE: Sam Edelman platform sneakers.

OLDEST ITEM IN HER CLOSET: A vintage Chanel shirt.

MANE, MANICURE AND MAKEUP: “For hair, I usually go with casual waves and I use this amazing hair wand called the T3. It has interchangeable attachments and you can create any kind of look with it. Right now, my nails are a gray-blue because I thought it would be a fun pop of color with my red outfits and different than the classic spring colors. And for makeup I don’t even know where to begin. My go-tos are Bare Minerals foundation, Tarte Amazonian clay bronzer, Anastasia eyebrow pencil and my Dior It-Lash mascara.”

FAVORITE COLOR: Coral.

FAVORITE FRAGRANCE: Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gioia.

WORTH THE SPLURGE: Designer bags.

NOT WORTH THE SPLURGE: Designer T-shirts. “Why would I spend $100 on some of these designer tees that look the same as what I can get at a discount department store?”

FAVORITE FASHION RESOURCE: Instagram.

WISH I HADN’T BOUGHT IT: “I once bought this Armani handbag just because it was a great deal but it’s honestly ugly and I never use it. I don’t know why I thought I needed an olive bag with a silver strap.”

THE GREAT PANTYHOSE DEBATE: “I’m all about the bare leg or black tights. There’s no in between with me.”

ORGANIZATION TIPS: “Get a bigger closet. You’re asking the wrong girl.”

THOUGHTS ON AGING: “I’d be lying if I said I haven’t been using anti-aging creams since I first raided Walgreens when I was 14 with my lunch money and bought Olay night cream. I’m all for naturally aging and taking good care of my skin. I love trying new serums and face treatments (facials, laser, non-invasive cosmetic treatments like microdermabrasion or peels) but I’m still really young and just working on maintaining my skin. Right now, I love Philosophy moisturizers and Rodial serums.”

FASHION NO-NO: Lacy lingerie-like tops.

GO-TO OUTFIT ON SATURDAY NIGHT: “An all-black outfit and a fun lipstick.”

FASHION EVOLUTION: “Was I a stylish kid? I had my moments. I had a much more laid back, hippie-inspired taste when I was younger and loved Lucky Brand, Urban Outfitters and Free People.”

INDISPENSABLE WARDROBE ITEM: J Brand jeans.

ACE ACCESSORY: Gold hoop earrings.

PANTS OR SKIRTS? “I like both, depending on my mood.”

HEELS OR FLATS? “High-heeled boots.”

DIAMONDS OR PEARLS? Diamonds, “all the way.”

WHY FASHION IS IMPORTANT: “Fashion is part of identity. We can choose how we want to represent ourselves and it’s fun to have that creative freedom.”
