WHO: Theresa Varela, 53, of Glen Mills, fine jewelry sales consultant and administrative supervisor at A.R. Morris Jewelers in Greenville.

WHY: She was nominated by Linda Bariglio, who says: “I have known Theresa for over a decade, and I can tell you that she is absolutely stunning just to look at. When talking with her, I am immersed in not only her natural beauty, but her total look. The clothing and jewelry she wears are always eye catching and well coordinated.”

HER STYLE: “I like to be both comfortable and fashionable.”

WHERE SHE SHOPS: Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Zara, H&M, LuluLemon, Macy’s. “I can’t be everywhere so I often shop online.”

HOW SHE SHOPS: “I like to shop alone for specific pieces that catch my eye. I’m not a TJ Maxx or Marshalls shopper. The only reason is I do not have the patience to go through the all the racks to find one thing that I like. I like to see merchandise nicely displayed.”

FASHION ICON: “Melania Trump is always impeccably dressed, from head to toe.”

MOST RECENT PURCHASE: “My diamond hoop earrings. Beyond gorgeous.”

Theresa Varela wears a pink flowered Trina Turk off the shoulder top; DL 1969 raw edge jeans; and Michael Kors pink wedges.

OLDEST ITEM IN HER CLOSET: “A heart locket that was my grandmother’s. I also have a little case with things from my mother that I will cherish forever, including her pocketbook that is exactly the way she left it.”

MANE, MANICURE AND MAKEUP: “I have a pixie haircut. I go to Sola Salon. Fran Mele, the owner, she is the only person I will let cut my hair short. For my nails, I go to 202 Nails in Chadds Ford. I have my whole year booked with My; she’s that busy.  I do not wear makeup to my heated yoga class at Empowered Yoga or prior to running out for errands.” When she does apply cosmetics, it’s with a light hand. “I have been using YSL under eye concealer for years, since it came out. Laura Mercier blonde eyebrow pencil, Chanel eyeliner in marine, Chanel mascara, Laura Mercier bronzer. That’s it. No foundation or lipstick, possibly a gloss, if it is not thick. I don’t like the way it feels. If I buy lipsticks, they just sit in the closet.”

BEST FOOT FORWARD: “My whole closet is filled with shoes. I love heels but I tore a ligament in my foot and it’s been a real setback for me. I love Karl Lagerfeld Paris, Michael Kors, Kate Spade, and my favorite Frye boots.”

FAVORITE COLOR: Pink. “Bright pink is a universal color of happiness.”

FAVORITE FRAGRANCE(S): Two scents by Jo Malone London, English Pear and Freesia, and Blackberry and Bay. “They are both light and natural, not overwhelming.”

WORTH THE SPLURGE: Her Chanel crossbody bag. “A classic.”

NOT WORTH THE SPLURGE: “The lipsticks I purchased that I will never wear. I have a whole makeup bag full of them.”

FAVORITE FASHION RESOURCE: “I like to go online and browse the internet, all the department stores. I also love to look through the Nordstrom, Neiman’s and Saks catalogs that come out periodically.”

Theresa Varela wears a black Tommy Hilfiger dress with Cole Hahn calf hair pumps.

WISH I HADN’T BOUGHT IT: “Five pairs of Sam Edelman sneakers with pompoms that I bought when I hurt my foot. Now, they sit.”

THE GREAT PANTYHOSE DEBATE: “Never. The worst is women who wear them with sandals.”

ORGANIZATION TIPS: “I have all my watches in a watch winder, all my jewelry is organized, earrings, rings, bracelets and necklaces in a large jewelry box; each category has a pull-out drawer. All of my shoes are kept in the original boxes.”

FASHION NO-NO: “When someone wears something that is way too young for them. Or too small. We all have mirrors. We should use them.”

This Delaware actor calls his style 'urban surfer'

THOUGHTS ON AGING: “We all age no matter what we do. So do it gracefully. In my opinion, every day is a gift and we need to embrace it.” Her anti-aging tips: Wash your face every night; lightly moisturize and use sunscreen.

BEST CELEBRITY HAIR: “Michelle Williams has a pretty pixie. I like Pink’s short messy crop.”

GO-TO OUTFIT ON SATURDAY NIGHT: “A flowy Free People top with fringed hem jeans with booties, one of my Rolex watches and my Lagos jewelry.”

FASHION EVOLUTION: “Even as a young girl going out with friends, I loved to dress to the nines. Whatever was in style at that time was on me.”

INDISPENSABLE WARDROBE ITEM: A little black dress.

ACE ACCESSORY: Earrings. “You have to have them, especially with short hair. Even if I am going to the market, I put them on.”

PANTS OR SKIRTS? Pants.

HEELS OR FLATS? “Definitely heels. They make you look long and lean.”

DIAMONDS OR PEARLS? “All of it.”

WHY FASHION IS IMPORTANT: “It’s the first thing people look at when they look at you. No matter what the brand is, if your clothes fit well and look good you feel great.”
