FAVORITE FASHION RESOURCE: The Nordstrom website. “I scroll through at lunch a couple times a week.”

WISH I HADN’T BOUGHT IT: Conservative dark suits. “I needed them at one time, but now they just sit in the closet.”

THE GREAT PANTYHOSE DEBATE: “I wear them seasonally.”

ORGANIZATION TIPS: “I hang clothes left to right, light to dark, short sleeves to long sleeves. The CPA in me really comes through that way. My favorite place to donate clothes is the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition’s Savvy Resale Shop in North Wilmington.”

THOUGHTS ON AGING: “I’m not afraid of it. It’s better to have birthdays than not have birthdays.”

FASHION NO-NO: “Clothes that don’t fit right. I hate to see women fuss with their clothes all night.”

GO-TO OUTFIT ON SATURDAY NIGHT: “Black jeans, a funky top and a black leather jacket with some cool jewelry.”

FASHION EVOLUTION: “I was a farm kid. My brother and I were the first generation to go to college. Fashion wasn’t on the radar until I started my career and needed to be taken seriously. Back then, dark suits were like armor for professional women. As I got into my 40s, I realized that I could dress more creatively, and paying more for good clothes was worth it. Now, my style is sharp, rather than conservative.”

DIAMONDS OR PEARLS? Diamonds.

WHY FASHION IS IMPORTANT: “You only get a short time to make a first impression. You are telling others you care enough to present a positive image to the world. It lets people know you care enough to dress up for them.”
