Acorn Market is a local favorite in Salisbury that offers something for everyone.

The eatery has a menu full of homemade food that adds a special touch that diners cannot get anywhere else, said owner Christine Braughler.

"Acorn is like being at grandma's kitchen,"  Braughler said. "It just feels good that is what sets us apart."

Everything on the menu is made to order and the menu is full of local healthy food with fast service making it convenient for customers grabbing a quick lunch or dinner.

"All of our items are made to order making it easy for the customer to create exactly what they want," Braughler said.

Some favorites include chicken salad and specialty salads like honey apple salad.

"The menu is comprised mainly of hot and cold sandwiches and salads," Braughler said.

The new location for Acorn Market in Salisbury.

Acorn market opened eight years ago in the Country House village where it has grown and thrived. However, the eatery is moving to the Riverside Commons in Downtown Salisbury and Braughler hopes to open in the first week of June.

"We have such an active customer base and cannot wait for them to experience and and share in our new home," Braughler said.

The expansion will also allow for a larger menu giving customers even more options.

"We are excited to have more room for our customers and to have the ability to expand services and the menu," Braughler said. "We will still have our current menu items but we can't wait to unveil some of our new ideas that we have been working to come up with."
