New fast-casual Chinese eatery for Milltown area

Panda Express Chinese Kitchen is opening a new location at 4704 Kirkwood Highway on Friday.

The fast-casual eatery, with a drive-thru, is located about 700 feet south of Limestone Road, in the Milltown area. 

It has 60 seats inside and about 16 outside. Another new site is now located at 113 S. Du Pont Highway (U.S. 13) at Christiana Road near New Castle. 

Panda Express is known for such dishes as Original Orange Chicken and Honey Walnut Shrimp.

The first Panda Express opened in 1983 in Glendale, California. There are now more than 2,000 restaurants. It is the largest family-owned "American Chinese" food chain in the United States. 

The Milltown restaurant will be open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. The drive-thru hours are Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
