Metro Diner, a 26-year-old Florida-based chain, opened its third Delaware location Tuesday at 5600 Concord Pike near Talleyville.

The chain is known for serving such comfort foods as fried chicken and waffles, Charleston-style shrimp and grits, and a "meatloaf plate." Most dishes cost less than $15.

Fried chicken and waffles are a house special at Metro Diner. A third Delaware location opened Tuesday in Talleyville.

The 4,800-square-foot diner has seating for more than 100 patrons, indoors and out. It offers breakfast all day, as well as lunch and dinner.
