New brunch eatery opens in Stanton

The wait, and the watch, is over.

First Watch, a new eatery serving breakfast, brunch and lunch, has opened in the newly-designed 74 Geoffrey Drive center off Churchmans Road in Stanton.

The restaurant is open daily from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. It will be closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.

First Watch's name is a nautical term referring to the early shift for a ship's crew.

Restaurants offer traditional morning foods like omelets, frittatas, French toast and lemon ricotta pancakes.

It also has salads, sandwiches, a juice bar and items like the power breakfast quinoa bowl, made with Italian sausage, house-roasted crimini mushrooms and tomatoes, kale, Parmesan that's topped with two eggs. 

First Watch, a new brunch eatery in Stanton, offers changing seasonal dishes.

Seasonal specialties include Hacienda Hash, Cinnamon Chip Pancakes and Carbonara Benedict.

The restaurant, part of a Bradenton, Florida-based chain, was built in a 3,500-square-foot space near Delaware Technical Community College. This is its first Delaware location.
