Rehoboth Avenue Greene Turtle relocating to Route 1

I think everyone was confused as to why the Greene Turtle opened in the old Irish Eyes spot on Rehoboth Avenue, literally right around the corner from their Boardwalk location (which happens to have one of the best ocean views in Rehoboth Beach).

Why would anyone choose to have a panoramic view of parked cars when they could nosh on a burger in front of the Atlantic?

Well, apparently the owners of the local Greene Turtle locations have arrived at the same conclusion.

They closed the Rehoboth Avenue location March 6, and plan to relocate onto Coastal Highway.

Although they have not yet announced the new location site, Greg Pitkoff, communications director, said it will be a much larger venue, enabling the restaurant to serve a far greater volume of guests and provide more jobs in the area.

I will keep you posted on the final location announcement.
