After providing home brewers supplies for almost 25 years, Xtreme Brewing Supplies is closing its doors.

The business posted on its Facebook and sent an email out to customers in late October announcing the closure. The company's Millsboro location is already closed, while the Laurel store will close Saturday, Nov. 17.

"For us it's always been about more than just selling stuff. So, now it's about more than just selling a retail store. And right now, we honestly can't convey how we thank you for supporting us on this wonderful adventure and along the way becoming people we treasure," the business' Facebook post read signed by "Patti ... Doug, Shawn and Donna."

In the email to customers, the business wrote the building and property in Laurel has been for sale since July.

"When the for sale sign went up, we began telling you as you came to either store that when we have a confirmed buyer for the Laurel property, a closing date would be set for both stores and the website," the email read.

The owners decided to close the business instead of selling it, according to the email.

Customers who want to grab final supplies can head to Laurel for the closing sale going on now.
