Police: Long Neck area Walgreens robbed

The Delaware State Police are investigating a robbery of a Long Neck area Walgreens from Sunday.

A male suspect armed with a handgun entered Walgreens on John J. Williams Highway around 9 p.m. Sunday, police said. The suspect approached the store employee and demanded cash.

The employee complied with the demand and turned over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect who then fled.   The clerk was not injured.

The suspect was described as white male approximately 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, wearing dark colored clothing with his face covered, police said.
