86-pound white marlin tops White Marlin Open Day 3

An 86-pound white marlin caught off the Griffin out of Palm Beach, Florida stands atop the White Marlin Open leaderboard after the third day of fishing.

Angler Mike Donohue stands to gain $2.6 million if his marlin remains on top of the leaderboard.

DAY 3 ACTION: Trio of white marlins caught on pleasant Wednesday 

Three white marlins were caught on the first truly seaworthy day of the week in Ocean City, when 297 of the 353 registered boats set out.

Nearly $5 million is on the line for the anglers, marking a record purse for the annual event, now in its 44th year.
