Officials from the event H2Oi announced in a statement on its website that this year's car show will be postponed until 2018 because of changes in venue in a limited time frame.

The annual event draws people to Ocean City to showcase heavily-modified Audis and Volkswagens. The unsanctioned event has become a popular one and often a notorious attraction.

Automotive website Jalopnik called H2Oi "America's Most Ticketed Car Show."

Next year, H2Oi will be celebrating its 20th anniversary.
