Wawa opened its' 800th store on Rocky Run Parkway off Rt. 202 that offers patrons the opportunity to play the Delaware Lotto at a self-serve machine located inside the store.

About six months ago, the Delaware Lottery announced that it would be putting self-serve lottery machines at gas stations and convenience stores throughout the state.

Delaware Lottery Director Vernon Kirk said the state has 100 of these new kiosks from vendor Scientific Games. As of this week, it has deployed 63.

Many of them are at Wawa stores, marking the first time Wawa customers in Delaware can purchase lottery products since the convenience stores tested over-the-counter lottery products close to 20 years ago.

Others are Royal Farms, Redner's Markets, Weis Markets and other stores.

Kirk said the machines are intuitive and easy to use.

“Read the instructions, and if you need help, ask," he said. "The clerks there will be glad to help you.”

Here's an interactive map of all of the new self-serve locations, so you can try one out yourself.
