Everything you need to know about the suspicious packages sent to key liberal political figures

Customers resume business after law enforcement investigated closed the U.S. Post Service Delaware Processing and Distribution Center in New Castle off Quigley Blvd. on Thursday morning to investigate another suspicious package potentialyl targeting former Vice President Joe Biden.

This week, a handful of pipe bombs and suspicious packages were sent to liberal political figures — including former Vice President Joe Biden. 

Law enforcement confirmed Thursday that two suspicious packages addressed to  Biden were found in Delaware post offices at Quigley Boulevard in New Castle and Lancaster Avenue in Wilmington.

Police searched Biden's Greenville home but turned up nothing on Wednesday. 

This was the latest of several suspicious packages sent to political figures this week. Here's everything you need to know:

Robert De Niro 

A suspicious package was found Thursday morning at a New York City building that houses the Tribeca Grill and the Tribeca Film Center, both started by actor and director Robert De Niro. 

De Niro has been a vocal critic of President Donald Trump, calling him the "baby-in-chief" and cursing him in recent months

The package sent to De Niro included a return address that belonged to Democratic Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, NBC News reported. 

The Clintons

A suspicious package addressed to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's home in Westchester County, New York was found on Tuesday. 

Secret Service said neither Clinton nor former President Bill Clinton received the package. 

The Obamas 

Secret Service agents also intercepted a package sent to former President Barack Obama in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday morning. 

 

Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Andrew Cuomo, Eric Holder and Maxine Waters

The FBI confirmed on Wednesday that a suspicious package was sent to Rep. Wasserman Schultz's office in Sunrise, Florida. It was addressed to former Attorney General Eric Holder but it had the wrong address. It was sent to Wasserman Schultz's office because her information was the return address.

The Associated Press reported that New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo's Manhattan office received a "suspicious device."

The suspicious package addressed to Rep. Maxine Waters was found at a facility in Capitol Heights, Maryland, according to CNN.

John Brennan

A police bomb squad on Wednesday removed a package from CNN’s New York office, which was evacuated. The CNN package was addressed to former CIA Director John Brennan, who has publicly clashed with Trump and is a regular television contributor. 

George Soros 

George Soros, a businessman and well-known Democratic Party donor, was one of the first figures to receive an explosive device this week.

It was found Monday in the mailbox at a Bedford, New York, home that is co-owned by Soros' private company, the Soros Fund Management LLC.
