Wilmington police investigate on the front patio of Kelly's Logan House in Trolley Square after a report of gunfire at the conclusion of the city's Halloween Loop early Sunday. There were no immediate reports of injuries.

A 25-year-old man has been arrested after gunfire erupted on Trolley Square's Halloween Loop.

About 1:06 a.m. Sunday, Wilmington police were in the 1700 block of Delaware Avenue as people left the several venues participating in the Halloween Loop.

Wilmington police say gunfire erupted as the crowd was letting out, prompting them to take Tyler Vega, of New Castle, into custody.

Vega was carrying a loaded gun with an obliterated serial number, according to a Wilmington Police release.

Vega was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony; possession of a firearm by a person prohibited; possession of a weapon with an obliterated serial number; carrying a concealed deadly weapon; reckless endangering first degree, receiving a stolen firearm; and possession of a firearm while under the influence.

He was arraigned and committed to Howard Young Correctional Institute on a $100,000 cash only bail, police said.

No one was injured during the incident, police said.

A video posted by a local woman shows security guards trying to break up a fight between at least two men.

Then there are screams, as the sound of gunfire rang out.

Wilmington police were joined by New Castle County and Delaware State Police in force at the intersection of Delaware Avenue and N. DuPont Street, the heart of the Trolley Square commercial district and location of Kelly's Logan House.

By 1:20 a.m., however, any apparent disturbances had been quieted and most of the lingering Halloween partyers were drifting away from the area.

Kelly's Logan House posted on Facebook Sunday afternoon, saying it will no longer participate in the Halloween Loop.

The Wilmington Halloween Loop included 10 nightspots throughout the city Saturday night into early Sunday, including four in Trolley Square. The event regularly draws thousands of people and has been a staple on the city's nightlife calendar for decades.
