Wilmington police investigating death of man found in alley

Wilmington police are looking into the death of a 33-year-old man found in an alley Sunday morning.

The man was found in an alley in the 2300 block of N. Pine St. on Sunday morning, police said.

Police responded shortly before 8:30 a.m. Sunday to an alley in the 2300 block of N. Pine St. in reference to a person down, according to a statement from the department. There they found a 33-year-old man who was unresponsive and injured in one of his legs, police said.

The man was treated by New Castle County Paramedics and taken to Christiana Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The state's Division of Forensic Science is working to determine the cause and manner of death.
