Couple steals Delaware woman's wallet, go shopping in Maryland

Delaware State Police released surveillance photos of a couple they say used a credit card in Salisbury, Maryland, on Sunday that had been in a wallet reported stolen in Delaware a few hours earlier.

A couple went on a Maryland shopping spree Sunday with a credit card stolen in Delaware just hours earlier, according to Delaware State Police.

The elderly victim lost her wallet in the Harbeson Deli at 26454 Lewes Georgetown Highway (U.S. 9)  about 2:20 p.m., police said.

Just after 6 p.m., her credit card showed up in the hands of a couple who used it to make two separate purchase from a Ross Dress for Less clothing store at 2649 N. Salisbury Blvd.

The same card was used about 7:20 p.m. at a Target store, also in Salisbury, police said.

Troopers on Monday released several surveillance photos of the couple they say used the credit card.

The man in the images has a dark beard and is wearing black shorts, a black shirt, a black baseball hat and black-and-white sneakers. He is walking with a young female child. The woman has blond hair is wearing is wearing tan or gray pants, a light shirt and dark sneakers.
