Police investigating woman's death near Long Neck

Delaware State Police are conducting a death investigation near Long Neck where a woman was found dead in her home Saturday morning.  

Troopers were dispatched to the 26000 block of Schooner Lane in the Rehoboth Shores development about 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Officers found a deceased woman while conducting a welfare check, police said. 

Police said there were no obvious signs of forced entry to the residence. 

Police are conducting a death investigation in Millsboro.

The victim's body has been turned over to the Delaware Division of Forensic Science, which will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending the notification of the next of kin.
