A man waiting to meet a seller from the LetGo app was hit and robbed at knifepoint at a Dover apartment complex on Thursday.

The 18-year-old was trying to buy a cell phone through a secondhand marketplace app, LetGo, Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman of Dover police said.

He was waiting in the Country Village Apartments parking lot when four males walked up to him.

Two of the men had knives, Hoffman said. They demanded his wallet and one of the males punched him in the mouth. They stole the wallet with cash inside and other unnamed items. Two of the men got in a red car and drove off, Hoffman said.
