Mary Lee hanging out off Delmarva coast

Staff Report

Nine days after she pinged off the Coast of Virginia's Eastern Shore on May 20, Mary Lee was still hanging around the Delmarva Peninsula. The great white shark took the internet by storm last year thanks to her sharp twitter wit. She gets around a lot moving about 19 miles per 24-hour day, but she seems to like Delmarva a lot. She was pinged off the Virginia Coast on April 12 as well. An oncoming tropical storm might be the reason for her long stay on Delmarva.

Mary Lee is tracked by OCEARCH, but you can follow @maryleeshark on Twitter to keep up with all her adventures.

Mary Lee the Shark pinged off Delmarva for the second time in nine days.
