When 4/20 lands on a Friday, that means it’s party time.

Even though recreational marijuana legislation is stalled in Dover, Delaware NORML, the state’s chapter of the pro-legalization group, is still pushing. And Friday’s 4/20 celebration in Yorklyn will double as a fundraiser for those who support the fight to make The First State the 10th state to legalize the green stuff.

The pro-pot party, which runs from 8 p.m. to midnight at the Center for the Creative Arts (410 Upper Snuff Mill Row, Yorklyn) will feature music by Twist the Monkey and vendors selling everything from glass art to tie-dye. There will be raffles and giveaways, such as green shoelaces, part of the group’s campaign in support of legalization.

Snacks will be sold by Wilmington’s WiLDWiCH food truck. (They might want to think about doubling up on the inventory for this one.)

It costs $20 to get in the door — $15 for members of Delaware NORML. And if you happen to be at Friday night’s Steal Your Peach show at The Queen — starts at 8 p.m. and costs $15 — Delaware NORML will be there as well, promoting its cause.
