Students paint positive message through Freeman mural

STAFF REPORT
As part of the mural project at Millsboro Middle School, artist John Donato teaches students how to paint with stencils.

Over the course of four days about 650 students at Millsboro Middle School participated in a mural project hosted by the Joshua M. Freeman Foundation and the Freeman Stage at Bayside.

Each student painted a book spine, using the theme "CARE." The artist leading the project, John Donato, said the program allows students to list good behaviors and attitudes so later on they can look back at the mural to keep themselves in check.

The completed panels will be combined and revealed Dec. 22.

Georgetown and Selbyville middle schools have completed mural projects.
