A crueller crime: Dunkin’ Donuts robbed in Long Neck

Delaware State Police are investigating the robbery of a Long Neck area Dunkin’ Donuts on Friday morning.

The incident occurred at approximately 5:15 a.m. Sept. 25 at the Dunkin’ Donuts located at 25938 John J. Williams Highway, as a woman entered the business and confronted a female employee behind the counter, police said. The woman demanded the clerk open the cash register and then lay on the floor.

The female victim complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of money, police said. The suspect then fled west through Bay Shore Plaza.

No one was injured in this incident, police said.

The suspect was described as a white woman, 25-35 years of age, 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 6 inches tall, 115-130 pounds, brown hooded sweatshirt, black dress, black shoes and a scarf around her face (no further physical or clothing description), police said. Police added no weapon was implied or displayed.

No surveillance photos are available, police said.
