A three year old boy suffered non-life threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle on Brooklyn Ave. In Rehoboth on Tuesday, June 7, the Rehoboth Police Department reported.

Redford C. Griffiths, 3, of Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, was crossing the road with his father, Gary D. Griffiths, 49 and his brother, 6. At the same time, Donna G. Summy, 62, of Harrisonburg, Virginia, was attempting to make a left turn in her 2012 Jeep Limited. The younger Griffiths was unable to make it to the sidewalk in time, and was struck by the vehicle. Neither the father or the six-year old brother were injured.

The child was taken to Beebe Healthcare for his injuries, which include a possible concussion and damage to his left arm. Summy was issued a traffic violation for failing to yield for a pedestrian and having no proof of insurance.
